Science Exhibition
On 30th Nov 2024, Auxilium Convent School organized mega Science Exhibition under the banner ACS-SciXplore 2024-25 with immense pride and joy.
The exhibition was formally inaugurated by the Chief Guest, Sir Debasis Sarkar who is a prominent face and notable personality from the field of Astrophysics. He is the founder Secretary of Sky Watchers Association of North Bengal (SWAN), an organization associated with Sky watching, Astrophotography, Astro Workshop, Science orientation & School Presentations.
The Chief Guest, accompanied by a team of judges took a tour of the exhibits and minutely observed all the projects on display.
He highlighted the importance of scientific thinking and innovation in today's rapidly changing world. Besides this, he also appreciated the efforts of the students and teachers in making the event a reality, emphasizing that such exhibitions are vital in fostering a culture of inquiry and exploration.
The Science Exhibition featured an impressive collection of projects made by students of both primary and secondary section covering a wide range of topics from Physics and Chemistry to Biology, Environmental Science, and Robotics. Students from different grade levels showcased their understanding and creativity through models, experiments, interactive displays, and digital presentations. Some of the major themes included Renewable Energy, Robotics and Automation, Environmental Science, Physics and Engineering, Space Science, Human Biology, Chemistry and Chemical Reactions etc.
Besides this, an exhibition of Art & Craft Projects commonly referred as S.U.P.W. or handwork for students from all the classes was also organised for the parents to appreciate their wards’ supplementary skills in the field of personal interest.
Thus, the Science Exhibition was an exceptional showcase of student talent, creativity, and scientific curiosity. It provided students with a platform to explore real-world applications of science, enhance their problem-solving skills, and communicate their ideas to a wider audience. The enthusiasm and dedication of the students were evident in the quality of their projects, and the event successfully created an interactive learning experience for everyone involved.
