Gratitude In The Time Of Corona

Auxilium Convent School observed ‘Gratitude Day’ on 24th Apr ’21 to bid adieu to the students of the outgoing ICSE Batch 2020–21. This year, it was organized virtually amid Corona virus threat, the second wave of which has put the last nail in the coffin of the Class X ICSE Board Examination.

The online ceremony commenced with a short prayer service to ward off the ill effects of COVID–19 that has taken the world by surprise. Reverend Sisters and members of the teaching and non–teaching fraternity blessed all the students of Class X outgoing batch to face the obstacles of life with courage and determination. This was followed by hymns sung to dear lord’s praise praying for students’ success in life.

The programme was spiced up with Auxilium Rock Band that set the stage on fire. It was followed by rock-n-roll dance items and classic theatrical depiction of missed school life through a mime. Besides this, the viewers also witnessed inspiring videos and in–house PowerPoint presentation by Auxilium students.

On this occasion, the Principal of the School, Sr. Jaya Sebastian, shelled out her sermons and inspired the students to cross the hurdles of life while keeping one’s goals and ambitions intact. She highlighted several keynotes like grit, resilience, discipline, perseverance etc. to achieve one’s dreams to get success in life. She motivated the students to propel in their career by keeping their love and faith in God Almighty.

Overall, through this online ceremony, every student was blessed solemnly so that they can ride on the waves of challenges. The Sisters and teachers expressed their deepest regard towards all the students for having spent a lifetime and by putting their trust and affection on them.

On behalf of the school, each outgoing student was presented a personal memento as a souvenir to cherish the fond memories of a golden decade spent with their dear Sisters and loving teachers at Auxilium.
