CHESS TOURNAMENT
Students of Auxilium Convent School participated in Chess Tournament conducted at the school premises on May 15th, 2024.
The event was open for all the students from Class III onwards where everyone almost played everyone to rule out any ambiguity and prove the power of game plan and execution.
In this tournament, there was no bar on age since the game of chess requires more of power of the brain rather than physical skill and stamina.
For this tournament, the school hired neutral judges from District Chess Association who adjudicated the whole proceedings with technical clarity as well as impartial viewpoint. A glimpse of the points table:
The School Chess Championship once again proved to be a testament to the enduring appeal of the game of kings. Through moments of triumph and adversity, the tournament showcased the remarkable talent and tenacity of the young competitors who participated. As the chessboards were packed away and the final scores tallied, one thing remained clear: in the game of chess, victory is earned through skill, strategy, and sheer force of will. Until next year, when the battle will begin anew, the spirit of competition will continue to burn brightly in the hearts of all who dare to play.
