हर घर तिरंगा (15th August)
India celebrated 77th Independence Day nationwide on 15th August. In this respect, Auxilium too, carried her tradition forward and got united under the spirit of nationalism amidst a beautiful program in school. The centre of attraction was obviously flag hoisting by the principal, Sr. Jaya Sebastian.
Hoisting of the national flag was followed by a high quality march past by the boys and girls of various houses who delivered a message of unity and strength. Students in the Scouts and Guides group also participated in the march past.
In her speech, Sr. Principal motivated the young learners to offer incredible sacrifices through hard work and dedication so that the people of the nation may be awakened from the slumbering of illiteracy and ignorance.
On the occasion of Independence Day, a short but colourful program was presented for all the viewers who attended this ceremony. This included singing, dance, speech on India’s freedom struggle etc.
To ignite a spark of thrill in the atmosphere, an inter-house skit competition was organized in which students of all the four houses showcased theme based on-stage drama. The quality and content of every performance was spectacular and drew appreciation from all corners. On this occasion, few alumni of ACS were invited to take the seats of judges while plenty of others were present to enrich their fond memories of the school days.
Overall, there was a great deal of fun and excitement throughout the programme. The real message of true independence was successfully delivered. It is expected that in future, young minds of today’s generation can serve their motherland with their genuine academic excellence in the field of education, science and technology, art and culture, economy, politics, sports, media, etc.
