Childhood Memories

On 14th Nov ’17, the teachers of Auxilium Convent School organised a short program to entertain the students on the occasion of Children’s Day. The birthday of Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru, who was the first Prime Minister of Independent India, is celebrated as Children’s Day all over the nation.

The fun and frolic began with the celebration in the junior wing when the Primary teachers took all the children out on the field and performed a short skit followed by singing. Next, they were allowed to gather in groups class-wise and section-wise to share their Tiffin with each other after which they danced together along with their teacher to the music that echoed all over the ground. The noise of their laughter brought smiles on everyone’s face and it left an impression that kids too want to treasure and preserve their childhood memories like adults do.

Secondary wing celebration began after the dispersal of the Primary students and it included individual singing, group singing, jokes and speech on Children’s Day occasion. The first phase of the celebration ended with principal’s beautiful message on the character formation in the student life and then the focus of attention got shifted to the sporting arena where the Inter-house final matches in Kho-Kho and Football were conducted.

At the end in the presentation ceremony trophies were given out to the players and teams that had won the titles. Overall, the day shall be remembered as one of the best cherished moments when teachers too behaved like students and students got lost in the vast ocean of happiness.
