All the staff members along with sisters in Auxilium Convent School honoured the students with much love and affection on the occasion of Children’s Day in advance on 12th of Nov ’18.
The occasion was marked by saying prayer for children and singing of prayer song by teachers. Besides this, speech on the importance of Children’s Day and singing of duet songs were also conducted to observe the ceremony.
The school management, on this special occasion, announced a daylong trip for students in the secondary section which was conducted on 14th of Nov ’18.
The visit was destined for Saraswatipur village in Jalpaiguri district, a place which Auxilium Convent School, Siliguri has adopted for the welfare of all the less-privileged and needy people who reside over there.
The purpose of the visit was to understand the life-style of all the underprivileged children who are deprived of basic necessities due to their poor socio-economic background and lack of facilities.
Auxilium Convent School management along with the help of teachers and students in the recent past have made Saraswatipur a ‘focus village’ and have been extending holistic support and financial aid to improve their physical, mental, emotional and spiritual needs especially with regard to young and underprivileged children in their all round development.
In this connection all the students from the secondary wing were involved in a wonderful act of charity through their whole-hearted generous contribution that exhibited their love and concern for the cause and purpose for the poor and needy people.
The principal of the school on the occasion of Children’s Day blessed all the students and reminded them of their duties and responsibilities. In addition to this, she also emphasized on being spiritual and God-centric in the journey of life.
